~ Tom is drunk so time is going by very fast for him
~ Mr. McKee was asleep on his chair so he had no idea what was going on
~ Dog is lonely, no one pays attention to it & they just got it
~ Tom broke Mrs.Wilson's nose because she was looking for Daisy and saying her name repeatedly it
~ The word ''Violently'' was mentioned a lot in the beginning of chapter & at the end of the chapter we found out he was using the word as foreshadowing Tom's behaviour
CHAPTER 3
~ The author uses word relating to alcohol which means his characters in the story are drunk because he, the author himself was an alcoholic & basically drank himself to his death
~ Contemptuous means so judgemental like is someone is hating on another person
